Sadism And Masochism: A World In The Dark
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. The term sets jaws on edge and causes people to avert their eyes away from the person who has the audacity to give voice to such an unconventional activity. It is considered so integral to fringe society that few people want to admit knowing many details for fear they will be labeled as being abnormal. The entire topic of sex, after all, is still taboo for a considerable portion of society, with people conversing about it in very finite social boundaries. When the discussion changes direction to incorporate sadism and masochism, however, the involuntary reaction many people have illustrates the extent to which sexual subcultures are not readily socially acceptable. Unconventionality notwithstanding, the S&M community represents a sexual subculture whereby the giving and receiving of pain is the primary focus, a concept that is both rich in history and quite prevalent in contemporary society. Bibliography lists 6 sources.

Same Sex Marriage
[ send me this paper ]
An 8 page research paper that offers an overview of the "gay" marriage debate. In his 2005 State of the Union Address, President George W. Bush, again, reiterated his endorsement of an Amendment to the Constitution to prohibit same-sex marriage. On the other side of the issue, many people argue that same-sex marriage does not portend the disastrous erosion to the foundations of civilization that conservatives fear. Examination of same-sex marriage, and the issues that surround this topic, is illuminating as to the these two radically opposed positions. Bibliography lists 8 sources.

Same-Sex Marriages
[ send me this paper ]
15 pages in length. Morality is a grand issue upon which lives are built and destroyed. Veering off course into immoral territory is just where marriages are headed when the wedded couple is of the same sex. Religion is opposed of such acceptance; the general public, for the most part, believes it to be a sinful lifestyle, yet there continues to be a crusade to incorporate the activities of gay and lesbian couples into mainstream society. The writer addresses various issues surrounding same-sex marriages, as well as takes the stand that they are not in the best interest of anyone involved in that reality. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
